Unfortunately, my impression is
that there is little interest in doing anything for the mall by the chamber,
city or any other of the public organizations. They all seem to be very
impressed with their efforts in Downtown. There is going to have to be a major
shift in attitude to change that.
West Ridge has spent years of
high handed dealings with the main players in the area and I think Simon likely
carried the feeling for them to stay out of West Ridge business to an extreme.
It is not going to be easy to change that perception. Until we are successful
in proving we are a community player, my opinion is not much is going to
change. I haven’t even been here 90 days and they have seen a succession of
leaderships come and go. These folks are going to take a wait and see attitude.
If you disagree, please give me
a solution. I all for any short cuts we can find.
Is the Great Life deal going to
move forward without money from the city?

Thanks for the catch on the
e-mail address.
Old system phone so I do not
have direct dial (both a curse and blessing). We are working on getting the
system upgraded.
